Supporting an international brand to franchise in the UK for the first time
Growing an international brand in a new market is exciting, but getting franchising right from the beginning is critical to long-term success.
FACEGYM, a high-growth international brand, wanted to expand across the UK through franchising for the first time. With ambitious plans to recruit franchise partners and grow its UK presence, the business needed a clear, structured and confident approach to franchisee recruitment.

The Challenge
FACEGYM initially set a target of securing between 10 and 15 new franchise locations across the UK within 12 to 24 months, with two agreements to be signed in the first quarter of 2026.
As this was the brand’s first experience of recruiting franchisees in the UK, it was essential that the process protected the strength of the FACEGYM brand while attracting the right calibre of operators.
The goal was not simply to generate interest, but to identify franchise partners with the right experience, cultural alignment, financial capability and ambition to support sustainable growth.
Our Approach
PartnerWise Franchise began by immersing ourselves in the FACEGYM brand, taking time to understand the business, its values, customer experience, and long-term growth objectives.
From there, we worked closely with the FACEGYM team to define what a strong franchisee looked like. This included reviewing the ideal partner profile across several key areas, including background, career experience, cultural fit, operational capability and funding suitability.
We then developed a clear franchisee journey, mapping the process from initial enquiry through to qualification, engagement, decision-making and onboarding.
This gave FACEGYM a structured recruitment process from the outset and helped prospective franchisees understand the opportunity clearly and confidently.
As this was the client’s first time recruiting franchisees, PartnerWise Franchise also provided guidance, reassurance and hands-on support throughout the journey, helping both the franchisor and prospective franchisees move through the process efficiently.
The Result
PartnerWise Franchise helped FACEGYM recruit both multi-site and single-site operators, resulting in 30 new territories being signed across the UK within six months of starting the recruitment journey.
All agreements were completed within the first quarter of 2026.
This meant PartnerWise Franchise significantly exceeded the original expectations, both in terms of the number of territories secured and the speed at which agreements were signed.
The project is a strong example of how the right franchise strategy, recruitment process and expert support can accelerate growth while protecting the strength of the brand.
