I have a career spanning over 43 years, working in a variety of Managerial, Strategic and Business Development roles.
I was with NatWest which was just short of 40 years. The last 25 were spent in their Franchise Team with over half of that time leading it. I instigated several initiatives whilst there including the introduction and training of local franchise managers in all things franchising, a role that still exists over 20 years later. I assessed hundreds of franchise systems during that time and the team managed relationships with all active UK franchisors. The businesses I dealt with covered those just considering franchising, starting their franchise journey, developing and established franchisors. All needing bank support for financing themselves and franchisees or just general franchise guidance.
After leaving NatWest I joined Azura Group, a franchise management software business with c. 50 clients. Shortly after joining they were purchased by Franchise Brands plc, an AIM listed business with 8 distinct subsidiaries, including Azura. I became their MD very soon after the purchase, a role I undertook for 3 years before leaving in 2025. My focus was managing the business, developing strategy, finances, cyber security, integrating the Azura system into our clients, and development.
I am delighted to be with PartnerWise Franchise as a Partner. It allows me the chance to use my experience to work with a wide range of customers on some very interesting and unique projects – all of which are critical to the future of the business. I love seeing businesses begin their franchise journey and seeing how successful they become.
Outside of work I am married with 6 girls! I have played badminton since I was a teenager, an average golfer with a 16 handicap and enjoy spending time with family and friends over food or drinks.
